I bought this Bates in the summer, but it is too small for my long legs when I raised my stirrups to a jumping length, so I only rode in it 3 times! I have bought another new saddle, so this one needs to go and I need the $$!
This Bates Caprilli Close Contact Saddle has been nicely broken in, with normal wear from the stirrup leathers and boots, otherwise is in excellent condition. This saddle was $ new, I paid $ for the saddle alone 2 months ago. It now comes with stirrup leathers, irons, flexiblocs, saddle cover, saddle pad (not pad pictured) and all gullets (except narrow) and gullet measuring tool. Price is firm, as I am already losing money on it. It has the CAIR panels which adapt to different horses backs nicely, as well as the changeable gullet to adjust the tree width. It is an exceptionally comfortable and well balanced saddle, great on the flat and especially over fences. This saddle is ready to ride in now, without the hassle of breaking it in, while still being in show condition.
I would consider a partial trade (under $500) for a schooling school, 16.5 - 17.5", MW or W tree. Just looking for something comfortable to trail ride in, as I don't want to ruin my good jumping saddle.
